Reflection: The importance of national shame

I don't believe that my home country is the best in the world but it is the best in my heart. However, there are still tons of things that we need to improve on, it is essential for us to recognize them. I think us humans try to believe things that are beneficial to us, things that we feel good about. I think it is important to know your flaws in order to improve them. Stop convincing yourself that you're the best, or the country you live in is the best. If we keep thinking of that, we can't improve or make it better! We should enforce our strengths and improve our weaknesses.

Why do we study evil in school??

1. Study and try to comprehend the psychology of human nature
2. To understand the difference between moral and immoral acts
3. To learn from the mistakes and to learn not to do it again
4. Symphony- relating the idea to real life and what we can do to stop it/ change it
5. To study history and to know why the world has evolved to the way it is today
6. Stop pretending or denying that evil didn't exist or happen- "I don't want to know what is in the hot dogs"
7. Being to recognize it to see it
8. Be prepared for the evil in the world
9. We all have the potential to do evil
